The upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi, the Mi MIX 4, has been widely discussed online for some time.Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, recently confirmed that the new Mi MIX series smartphone will be released this year, despite leaked reports suggesting that the new model will have a foldable design.The fourth generation of Xiaomi’s Mi MIX smartphone was announced on Weibo by Product Head Wang Teng Thomas and a few other executives.
Lei Jun also promised to launch a new Mi Pad tablet this year, in addition to the MIX series smartphone.The tablet may come with stylus support, according to reports.
Despite previous rumors suggesting that Xiaomi was developing a new tablet, the Chinese conglomerate took nearly three years to produce the device, with the Mi Pad 4 series debuting in 2018.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 features
Regarding the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, the phone’s design may likely be foldable.The device may have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a 90Hz refresh rate display, a 100MP rear camera, and a pop-up selfie camera, according to rumors.
The phone is expected to have up to 10GB of RAM and an Android operating system based on MIUI 10.When folded, the device may have a screen that is 6.5 inches tall and 10-inches when opened vertically.
Notably, the company released a teaser last week for a concept phone with a screen that has 88 degrees of hyper quad curved, allowing the user interface to flow across the phone’s surface like water.On the other hand, it is unclear if Xiaomi will use the same design on the upcoming Mi Mix 4 smartphone.
