According to the organizers, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will resume its in-person format for its 2022 edition. The event will begin with media days on January 3 and 4, and then it will continue at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 5 and 8 for the general public.

As a reminder, CES 2020 was the last major technology convention held in person before the Covid-19 pandemic shut down the entire world and forced all such events to be held online.

Around 1,000 tech companies, including Amazon, AMD, AT&T, Dell, Google, and others, will be present at the in-person CES 2022 event, as reported by CNET.

“We’re excited to get back to Las Vegas — home to CES for over 40 years — and anticipate seeing numerous new and returning faces,” Gary Shapiro, the affiliation’s leader and Chief, said in a delivery. “We have heard from hundreds of executives about how important CES is for them to meet new and existing customers, find partners, reach the media, and learn about innovation.

The decision could be reversed because it is still unsafe for people to attend large social gatherings, and Covid-19 cases are once again on the rise. However, at this time, the organizers believe that the event will continue.Nonetheless, they have said that the occasion will follow “Covid related wellbeing measures from the Communities for Infectious prevention and Anticipation.”

Additionally, the organizers have stated that CES 2022 will be held digitally in addition to an in-person event. However, additional information regarding this will be provided later.
