Gurugram launches WhatsApp Covid-19 helpline citizens

The Gurugram district administration set up a special WhatsApp Covid-19 helpline on Thursday to give residents access to important information and a central place to store all Coronavirus resources.The Hindi and English versions of the helpline are available for free.Citizens can directly connect to the helpline by clicking on https://wa.me/919643277788 or by sending a “Hi” message to the WhatsApp number +91 9643277788.
It provides up-to-date information about important nearby resources like RT-PCR camps and centers, online doctor consultations, the status of available beds, how to register as a Covid-19 patient, care centers, and more.
This is a benefit for our Gurugram residents.Patients and their loved ones can get in touch with us for assistance through this Covid.At home, we will try to provide the best care possible.Additionally, I am indebted to partners like WhatsApp for coming forward and assisting us in the development of this platform.In a statement, Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson, District Disaster Management, Gurugram, Government of Haryana, said, “Any organization that wants to use this to provide care to our citizens are most welcome to join us.”
A group of volunteers, organizations from the private sector, and various departments within the Gurugram district administration all contributed to the creation of the helpline.It is an integrated service that is based on the WhatsApp Business API. It will connect citizens directly to official, verified sources of information and medical services, making it possible for them to access information quickly and assisting the administration in streamlining its efforts to help those in need.
