During its keynote at Computex 2021, Intel revealed a slew of new products, including the 5G M.2 laptop module and two new 11th Generation Intel Core mobile U-series processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics.Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7 are the new chipsets that will power the category of devices that are thin and light.
Intel Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7
The company’s highest-end U-series chip, the Intel Core i7-1195G7, was the first to achieve a clock speed of 5.0 GHz.The four-core/eight-thread configurations of the Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7 chips operate between 12W and 28W.They also have integrated graphics made by the company called Iris Xe.
Using the company’s own Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology, the Core i7-1195G7 has a base clock speed of 2.9GHz and a maximum single-core speed of 5.0GHz.The Core i5-1155G7 has a 2.5GHz base clock speed and a 4.5GHz maximum clock speed.
What else did Intel announce?
In addition to the two new processors, Intel also announced its collaboration with MediaTek and Fibocom-developed 5G M.2 module for laptops.OEMs will be able to incorporate a new M.2 card into their designs thanks to this module.The module supports 5G NR in mid-band and sub-6GHz frequencies, as stated in the announcement. Additionally, it will enable OEMs to provide eSIM services to their customers.
This year, Asus, HP, and Acer will be among the first PC manufacturers to introduce laptops equipped with the brand-new 5G Solution 5000 cards and 11th Generation Intel Core U and H processors.
COMPUTEX 2021 a full month affair
