Samsung, a tech giant, introduces a new feature for its internet browser.Similar to Apple, the company is moving the address bar of its mobile web browser to the bottom.

According to 9To5Mac, an update to the Samsung Internet beta app that is now available for the company’s Android smartphones included the new layout.

There is now an option for “Address bar position” in the browser preferences’ Layout and Menu settings. There, users can select between the traditional layout of the web browser and the new one with the unified address bar at the screen’s bottom.

The Samsung Internet app in iOS 15 looks quite similar to Safari when the “Bottom” option is enabled. The navigation controls and buttons for managing tabs, sharing, and other app settings are displayed above the address bar.

According to the report, other companies such as Google have tried a similar layout for a mobile web browser for years. It is important to note that Apple was not the first company to do so.

It was also stated that Samsung appears to have made the decision to alter the layout of its web browser shortly after Apple did so.

In iOS 15, despite the fact that the new layout is still enabled by default, Apple allowed users to revert to the previous layout after receiving a number of complaints.

Additionally, the company has updated Safari for the iPadOS and macOS operating systems to reverse the contentious design changes.
