Oppo Watch 3 launches in August first smartwatch

Today, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon W5 and W5+ wearable chipsets, and just a few hours later, we already know which smartwatches will be the first to use the two new platforms.

The Oppo Watch 3, which will be released in August, is the device that uses the Snapdragon W5.Franco Li, Oppo’s Associate Vice President and President of IoT Business, is the source of the information.Since he refers to the Watch 3 as a series, we anticipate multiple models, but at least one should feature the W5 platform in a real product.

Although it is yet to be determined whether or not the product in question will be made available worldwide, we are hopeful that it will, as the wearables industry badly needs more competition. Also, while we’re on the upbeat side, let’s say that we hope Qualcomm’s claims about the W5 and W5+’s performance and battery life are true.

Mobvoi’s flagship smartwatch, the next-generation TicWatch, will follow Oppo in the market this fall. The first smartwatch to use the Snapdragon W5+ will be the unnamed TicWatch, which will most likely be called TicWatch Pro 4.This information also comes directly from the business itself, in this case from CEO Zhifei Li of Mobvoi.

There are no additional official details available regarding these two upcoming product lines; however, a previous rumor suggested that there will be three Oppo Watch 3 models—how appropriate!all with square designs and a high screen-to-body ratio, expected to be available in black, silver, dark gray, and “light gold.”
