Honor 6X with details announced

Huawei’s Honor division has officially introduced the Honor 6X, its latest smartphone positioned in the mid-range category during an event held in China, as anticipated. This device features a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass screen, is equipped with an Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm chipset, and operates on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) paired with EMUI 4.1. It includes a primary 12-megapixel camera that possesses phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), as well as an LED flash and an additional 2-megapixel camera for generating depth of field and creating background blur effects.
Additionally, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and incorporates a fingerprint scanner located on the rear that can unlock the smartphone in just 0.3 seconds. The design incorporates the Honor 5X-like unibody metal frame.

Pricing and availability:
Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue, and Rose Gold are the available colors for the Honor 6X. While the 4GB RAM with 32GB model costs 1299 yuan (about US$ 192 / Rs 12850), the version with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage costs 999 yuan (around US$ 148 / Rs 9885). The 64GB storage and 4GB RAM variant costs 1599 yuan, or roughly US$ 237/Rs 15825. Sales are expected to begin on October 25 in China, where pre-orders are being accepted as early as today.
