Huawei Maimang 5 with details announced

Huawei has revealed the Maimang 5, the newest mid-tier smartphone from the brand, in China. This device features a 5.5-inch 1080p display made of 2.5D curved glass, boasting a screen-to-body ratio of 77.9%. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset and operates on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1 layered on top. The phone is equipped with a rear camera of 16 megapixels that includes phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a dual-tone LED flash, and an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
The smartphone showcases a complete metal unibody design and includes a fingerprint scanner located on the back that enables unlocking within 0.3 seconds.

With a price tag of 2399 yuan for the model with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM and 2599 yuan for the one with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, the Huawei Maimang 5 comes in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Moonlight Silver. It is currently available for pre-order in China and will be on sale starting July 21.
